Covid Safety Rules

Masks are no longer required

For 2023, we encourage masking, but do not require it.

Make safety choices that help YOU feel safe!

Besides your own masking, other choices you might make would be -- "where" to game (open air versus smaller room), with WHOM to play (Other maskers), and in what sort of density you feel comfortable with.

RESPECT other's choices, be mindful.

Harrassing those who choose to mask will not be tolerated. Also, It might be obvious, but if you're persistently coughing at a table, you will make others feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Don't make others guess as to your health. Again, if you ARE feeling sick, please do not attend.

Socially distance to your best ability!

GobbleCon has reduced the number of tables in our gaming spaces. We've also reduced the number of seats at each table to a max of FIVE. Please don't crowd around your own gaming table, or around a table that has several spectators. PLEASE be considerate of space between you and others.

GMs are the master of their events!

GM's are essentially the bosses of the games they run, and if they feel that their safest choice is to require players to be masked at their tables, then they can do so. (See #2 above)

Do not attend if you have symptoms!

If you have any of the following symptoms, do not attend GobbleCon. Consider getting tested for your own safety and for the safety of those around you.
Fever or chills
Cough
Congestion or runny nose
Loss of taste or smell
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Body aches
Fatigue or headache
Sore throat
Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea

These rules can be amended and refined as needed to ensure the safety of our guests.

Our guests' safety is paramount. To that end, we reserve the right to adjust the rules as current science and guidance helps clarify best safety practices.

Let's all work together to have fun...

The world, especially as it relates to COVID, continues to evolve.

Rules, and laws, that were in place just a year or two ago, have been lifted or altered.

Our policies have typically been guided and governed by these ordinances. But today, most of those ordinances have been rescinded.

And while COVID is still with us, the safety model has moved to a combination of self-need, and of respect for others.

FOR 2023 GOBBLECON, THERE WILL BE NO SPECIFIC MASK REQUIREMENTS!

If YOU prefer to mask, for whatever reasons, we encourage you to do so.

Likewise, out of respect for others, if you feel sick, or exhibit any other signs of illness, please do NOT attend at all.

Don't be afraid to 'offend' if you are thinking of wearing a mask but may feel out of place because only a few others are doing so. Take care of yourself!

Also, bear in mind that masking may help protect you from other airborne illnesses often shared in group setting!

AND YES.. we are ENCOURAGING masking, but we are not requiring it.

Thank you for celebrating fun with us! And please reach out to any staffer if you have questions or concerns.

Our Motto...

These concepts drive our focus to create a great event.

ALT NAME

Festive

Words that are synonomous with 'festive' include: jolly, merry, joyous, joyful, happy, jovial, lighthearted, cheerful, jubilant, convivial, high-spirited, mirthful, uproarious. We love the idea of coming together as the winter holidays begin and celebrating all things festive!

ALT NAME

Family

Certainly, 'family' includes those we are related to... children, parents, etc. But it's our belief that family takes many forms. For events like KublaCon and GobbleCon, our extended family of gamers are like-minded people who we see year after year. We'd love for you to become part of our new, and growing, GobbleCon family.

ALT NAME

Fun

Our goal is to find the fun in all that we do. Whether making plans to create a great event, or actually working long hours at the show, fun is the guiding star by which we set our compass.
