Covid Safety Rules and Guidelines

The vaccine is the gateway drug to fun.

Covid Safety Rules

All eligible attendees must be vaccinated!

All attendees 12 and over must show proof of full vaccination when checking in and getting their wristband.

For guests 6-12 years old...

a negative result, same day, performed on site, Covid rapid test is required.
We understand some 12 year olds may not have time for 'full' vaccination, so the same day Covid test would apply to them.
There may be an extra charge for this test.
Adults are responsible for their young charges, and must assure that they are masked, and that they adhere to our safety rules.
We're sorry, but for 2021, we are unable to accomodate guests younger than 6 years old.

Masks must be worn in all gaming areas...

... including at the game tables. They MUST be worn such that they cover both your mouth and your nose.

No food is to be consumed AT the game tables.

If you need to snack, step away from the table and at least 6 feet away from other people. There are also hotel dining areas where eating while unmasked is ok.

It is ok to consume drinks at the gaming tables.

Liquids should be consumed in such a way to be masked as much as possible. Please consider using a straw.

Socially distance to your best ability!

GobbleCon has reduced the number of tables in our gaming spaces. We've also reduced the number of seats at each table to a max of FIVE. Please don't crowd around your own gaming table, or around a table that has several spectators. PLEASE be considerate of space between you and others.

Do not attend if you have symptoms!

If you have any of the following symptoms, do not attend GobbleCon. Consider getting tested for your own safety and for the safety of those around you.
Fever or chills
Congestion or runny nose
Loss of taste or smell
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Body aches
Fatigue or headache
Sore throat
Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea

These rules can be amended and refined as needed to ensure the safety of our guests.

Our guests' safety is paramount. To that end, we reserve the right to adjust the rules as current science and guidance helps clarify best safety practices.

Let's all work together to have fun...

The world has changed, but with diligence, care and attention, we can return to some of our roots as gamers.

We've implemented several rules at the left that we feel will not only help keep us FEEL safe, but will help us BE safe while gaming.

Your registration is your agreement to abide by these rules.

Please monitor/police yourselves. Don't be afraid to 'offend'.... sometimes we all just need reminders of the challenges of gathering.

Thank you for celebrating fun with us! And please reach out to any staffer if you have questions or concerns.

Our Motto...

These concepts drive our focus to create a great event.

Words that are synonomous with 'festive' include: jolly, merry, joyous, joyful, happy, jovial, lighthearted, cheerful, jubilant, convivial, high-spirited, mirthful, uproarious. We love the idea of coming together as the winter holidays begin and celebrating all things festive!

Certainly, 'family' includes those we are related to... children, parents, etc. But it's our belief that family takes many forms. For events like KublaCon and GobbleCon, our extended family of gamers are like-minded people who we see year after year. We'd love for you to become part of our new, and growing, GobbleCon family.

Our goal is to find the fun in all that we do. Whether making plans to create a great event, or actually working long hours at the show, fun is the guiding star by which we set our compass.
